October 24 - Women's Center Launches Annual Gifts Campaign

The campaign brings education and awareness to the community, renews donor commitments and establishes new partnerships. The committee will be challenged to raise $60,000 over the next several months. The campaign accounts for a generous percentage of the agency’s operating budget and is a critical in helping sustain services for the 24,000 plus victims that are served annually. [More]

October 2007 - Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), held every October, is a national effort in educating and raising awareness about the prevalence and cost of domestic violence in our community, the need for prevention and the availability of services for victims of abuse. It also celebrates survivors and honors those fallen victims. Advocates for victims of domestic violence in our community and across our state and country are coming together to help end abuse. April 12, 2007 - Walk A Mile in her Shoes®

On April 12, 2008, the Women’s Center of San Joaquin County will be hosting its first Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Men’s March at Sherwood Mall. Men from all walks of life will complete a mile-long course in women’s pumps to protest rape, sexual assault and gender violence. [More Information]
