Financial Review

The Women’s Center relies on both public and private funds to supports its programs. During the current fiscal year, which runs from July 1st through June 30th, the Center must receive $300,000 in donations from individuals and businesses. The amount accounts for approximately 15 percent of the operating budget. The remainder of the budget is funded through public and private grants including the State of California, the County of San Joaquin, the City of Stockton and United Way.

Ninety-two percent of the Center’s income covers direct-service costs. Administrative and fundraising expenses account for only eight percent of the budget. This means that for every dollar contributed to the Women’s Center, 92 cents is spent directly on our clients.
